Advocacy Project
From the federal level to the state level to the local level, we work with elected officials to normalize this disease and craft policies which strengthen families and communities, build a strong workforce, and save lives.
- For every $41 donated, AARA can advocate on behalf of 1 American in active addiction and/or recovery as well as their families. There are 29 million Americans in recovery and 46 million in active addiction.
- For every $500 donated, we can provide a building with an Opioid Reversal Kit and restock as needed for a year.
- For every $2500 donated, we can craft a piece of legislation specific to a state and start the process for the legislation to become a bill signed by their Governor.
To take our message to every state and build coalitions to defeat stigma
50-State Project
In Georgia, there was a Recovery Bus Tour in September and impacted at least 1 million Georgians. That is about 10% of the State’s population.
This project has 3 sprinter vans, wrapped with recovery and sponsor messaging, traveling to all 50 states, to host rallies and meetings to build coalitions, and speak with state and local governments to unite our community, raise awareness, and save lives. Our expected impact is 100 million Americans. That is about 30% of America’s population.
- For every $68 donated, AARA is able to raise awareness, defeat stigma, build coalitions, and continue our messaging and project work for 1 American and their family in every state.
- For every $9000 donated, AARA is able to keep a sprinter van on the road for a month. Traveling to multiple states with our messaging and sponsors wrapped around us.
- For every $25,000 donated, AARA is able to work the Halls of Congress and help pass life-saving legislation for 6 months.
