It is time to have a serious conversation and find commonsense sustainable solutions to the reality of unabated, open, illicit drug use  – it is understandable that families, businesses, and community leaders find this activity dangerous and unacceptable – AARA a peer led organization respects this and is committed to finding an appropriate solution

AARA understands that compassionate care means accountability with appropriate deterrence and incentives – it’s not a crime to have the disease of addiction but addiction is a deadly disease and it’s essential to develop a serious protocol to save lives

AARA agrees with the Administration that treatment for drug addictions should be easier to obtain than the drugs themselves

AARA agrees with the Administration that the power of God and faith is already central to drug treatment and recovery for many Americans and that Faith-based leaders are important advocates, who teach the value of living a drug-free life, protect the minds of our young people, and provide crucial support to those struggling with addiction

AARA believes that living drug free should be a goal for all Americans. Secular education and treatment are important, but for those who have faith, adding God into the equation brings in a special power

AARA, strongly, supports the premise that there are many pathways from addiction to recovery

AARA supports the premise that recovery can be supported by medications but can also involve peer support, faith based programs, mutual support, and other services

AARA supports designating the most dangerous international drug cartels as Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTO) and that domestic criminals cooperating with FTOs must be prosecuted to the furthest extent of the law

AARA agrees that drugs with attractive packaging and marketing towards youth prey on young Americans and lead to devastating societal and economic impacts to the United States

AARA agrees the United States must openly acknowledge and bring to justice those participating in the deliberate poisoning of tens of thousands of Americans each year
